Why do you travel?
Hi everyone
Last year, I spent almost 5 months in France; 4 months just by the Swiss border and 2 weeks in the Loire Valley. It was the first time I'd travelled outside of the UK and I really loved it.
Anyway, it kind of made me interested in all the different reasons for wanderlust. I also wanted to see if travellers were satisfied with the wealth of information out there and if there was any demand for a different kind of guide book!
If you're interested in taking the survery, here's the link:

Thank you to everyone who takes it but if you don't want to, I'd also be very interested to hear your thoughts here in the forum

I travel because I HAVE TO.
New wardrobe or trip to Caribbean? Trip to Caribbean.
New bathroom or trip to Paris? Trip to Paris.
New car or trip to the Dordogne? Trip to the Dordogne.
Dinner out every weekend or trip to Ireland? You guessed it!
I am totally satisfied with the info I can find on the internet, epecially Fodors Forums, Trip Advisor, and Youtube videos. I do purchase a guidebook from time to time but they just can't give you the hands on personal experiences that you can find on Fodors.
I always have been a travel junkie, subscribing to most of the travel magazines, but when I found Fodors in 2007, I found a new "home."
I've said it many times, but I'll say it again, "Thank you Fodors!"
