No wonder Italy gets so crowded. It's full of Fodorites! We're in Rome, Venice, Tuscany May 12th to 30th. First trip to Italy. I've wanted to go all my life and it's taken me 48 years to get there. We were booked to go last May but my mother-in-law died in May and we cancelled. It's a belated 25th wedding anniversay gift to ourselves!

We will be in Rome May 24th but our schedule is pretty tight...

If anyone organizes a GTG though, post it here before May 13th (when we depart), and we will try to make it!

A GTG, wow I wonder if I am fodorized enough? However we will be in Rome 5/19 to 5/24.
PS: early in my Fodor-lurking stages I kept asking my daughter what things like IMO meant, she told me authoritatively that GTG was "good to go", WELL I guess I am smarter than she is (or more of a lurker....)

Not to worry, I am kinda new around here myself. So what do you think about having dinner at L'Orso 80 on the 19th? It is very well reviewed here on Fodors. Anybody else wanna come?

Totally laughing now because we will be in Rome on the 19th and probably having lunch or dinner at L'Orso 80. It's penciled in on our list of things to do!

we will be in Venice the same time as you and we are from the Seattle area and so very familiar with Rick Steves. I'm sure you will have a great time. What district will you be staying in? We love the Dorsodora area.

I was so inspired reading "boungiorno's" trip report on Umbria, I am starting to plan a weekend there in mid-May!

And purple dresses!
GTG can be our secret password!
Actually it means "get together"
We should probably make a reservation! I can arrange that since I arrive Rome on Tuesday before my bike tour. What time? And how many? You can email me at [email protected]
Will any of you be checking email on the road?
