We are heading to Spain in April and have rented a car to drive from Seville to Malaga and we would like to see some white villages along the way. Does anyone have any suggestions on which village to visit or a suggested route?

How long are you taking or wanting to take over this journey (and you have asked for villages and village, which)?

Go through Ronda and you can also stop at Setenil de las Bodegas, Grazalema and Zahara. It's a very nice drive and I'm not big on driving in Spain because it can be boring (except up North).

The road from Seville leads you to Puerto Serrano, then head towards Algodonales, and a short detour to Zahara. From here the road to Grazalema is well paved, but narrow and very steep for 10 miles. I recommend continuing from Zahara back to Algodonales and Ronda. Setenil is on another road from Ronda, I rec. visiting too, but you'll need extra time, it is a sidetrip from the road Ronda to Malaga.

I would try and get to Arcos de la Frontera and make your way to Grazalema, Algodonales and Zahara de Sierra and onto Ronda.

We drove south through Jemez to Arcos de la Frontera and over to Rhonda for the evening.

Rhonda to Zahara and Grazelema was a highlight of our Andalucia trip. The town of Zahara is charming and overlooks a beautiful lake. The mountain road to Grazelema isn't as bad as it was made out to be for us and recommend it for the views. Absolutely stunning.

I understand that you are driving from Seville to Malaga. If so, you simply have no time to go to all the places Paul_Shoulders mentions. Arcos is basically similar to Ronda, which is on your route. The roads are well paved, but maps don't show you how steep and narrow they can be.

I'm so sorry! Just been a bit hectic at work... just goes to show how much I need this break!

We are thinking of doing it over 1 day, but are now considering a over night stop over somewhere.

We are not sure if we ned to go to more than one village(if they are pretty similar than probably not...) but now we want to see Arcos and Grazalema. Not sure if going to Ronda is worthwhile?

From Seville you can drive to Arcos for a visit. Then drive through El Bosque and Benamahoma to Puerto del Boyar (great view) and Grazalema. Then, depending on time available, drive to Zahara to see the town from the dam (past the town) with the late evening sun, and then to Ronda and overnight. In Ronda you'll find more facilitieas (hotels, restaurants, parking space) than in Arcos. In the morning you drive to Malaga on the Campillos road, soon there is a detour on the left to Setenil, a different kind of town.

I only passed through Arcos, but Ronda is much larger, with lots to see and do. A night in Ronda would be worth it just for the sunset over the tajo and the tapas.
I also would drive through Zahara/Grazalema, and stay overnight in Ronda.
