We loved the breakfast at Cafe de Flore en I'lle.....right across from Notre Dame....beautiful view. Also, the best hot choc. with melted choc. in one pot, hot milk in another. Very good omelet and real, fresh-squeezed orange juice. We'll go back often.

We love rue Cler but on Sunday I'm not even sure anything is open. You don't need to look for special wine shops--supermarkets and grocery stores have nice selections. You may want to get the bateau a little earlier--it will be mostly dark by then (5:30). We had a drink in the lounge of le Train Bleu having heard that the food is overpriced and not that good. It is a wonderful foom. Instead of Bastille area I'd walk around the Latin Quarter. Bastille is pretty "sterile" However there is a market on blvd Richard Lenoir (near Bastille) and there is one at Pl. Monge that you might really enjoy.
