Which Paris hotel; Valadon, Du Champ de Mars, Jeanne d'Arc, Du College de France or Le Clement?

InMiami....Only you can decide which one you should select. I've walked by the Bonaparte for years, it's south/west of the Clement, and I personally prefer the Clement location more, but to each his own. They're both in the 6th which is a very good district. Happy Travels!

I have held off on reserving at the Bonaparte. As it turns out WIFI is offered in the breakfast area but there in no Internet connection in the rooms. A real deal breaker for us.
When I looked more closely at the Clement it looks like the full amount of the reservation (in this case $900) is immediately deducted from our credit card even though our stay is not until May. Am I wrong about this?

I faked a booking and it does say in the Rules:
"..In order to confirm your booking, your credit card will be debited for 100% of the total amount (including tax) for your stay, plus booking fee (if applicable).
You account will be debited in EUR.."
The Cancellation policy is:
1 (NO SHOW) : 100% of the total booking amount
2 1 day(s) before arrival : the first night, no extras
3 As soon as the booking is made : 3% of the total booking amount

You can scratch the Valadon from your list, if you need Wifi in the room - their site says only "High speed internet access is available anytime at the hotel’s terminal."
Hotel CdF also apparently doesn't have Wifi in the rooms - their site says "A computer with internet access is at your disposal free of charge, sheltered from onlookers, located in our telephone box" and "Office with free Internet, high speed 8 Mo WiFi"
The Hotel CdMars says 'free Wifi' but doesn't specify if it is 'in room'.
A couple of hotels that indicate they have Wifi in the rooms:
Hotel Muguet 75007 (140&euro

Hotel Lyon Bastille 75012 (under renovations) (125&euro

The Clement's policy must be something relatively new. I've never had my card charged for the entire amount. When making a reservation there, I've called them, on the phone, and done the reservation and they just held it with a credit card. Happy Travels!

Travelnut, you seem to have skill in teasing out information from these sometimes confusing websites!
The Hotel Lyon Bastille is located in a beautiful building and I have been in that area looking for more reasonable dining.
I just remember walking around the St Germaine area and thinking that I would really like staying there. What is your opinion of the Le Clement?

InMiami, I'm a 'hotel hobbyist', just enjoy looking them up but I haven't stayed in everything I've ever posted for someone. Having been to Paris numerous times, we stay in an outer arrondissement these days, as the center seems too crowded sometimes.
