Which online airfares can I actually buy if I live in Australia???
I want to buy air tickets for travel within europe, and have found several attractive deals on orbitz, expedia and so on. The problem is they won't sell them to me because I live in Australia (or more precisely because my credit card billing address is in Australia). There seems to only be one site that caters for the underprivileged down-unders, an off shoot of Travelocity (called Juji or something). Does anybody know any other sites I could try?

Nicol,
Sorry I don't know off hand of any, I too tried to purchase for a friend who lives in Oz once but it wouldn't let me since he was starting out in AU.
Have you posted your question on the AU side of this site?
Hope you get some good prices!
Eileen

Hi Nicole
I'm also from Australia but have just purchased tickets for Madrid/Brussells on Virgin Express http://www.virgin-express.com/ and Brussells/Venice on SN Brussells http://www.flysn.com/EN/default.aspx using our Credit Card. As they run a "Ticketless" Service all you need is a copy of your confirmation eMail to be able to fly with them. Take note that they do charge your credit Card as soon as the confirmation eMail is sent.
The web-site that you are trying to remember is Zuji.com
Hope this helps.
David

I agree that you should skip orbitz et al and go right to the carriers. Try the following:
http://www.virginexpress.com/
volareweb.com
http://www36.germanwings.com/
http://www.ryanair.ie/
http://www.easyjet.com/en/book/index.asp
http://www3.flybe.com/obs/booking-controller/
A mother load of info can be found at http://www.discountairfares.com/lcosteur.htm
and http://www.thissen.net/lowcost.html

Even if you live in Europe but have a Us (or Aussie) card, you still have the same problems! It drove me crazy with Expedia! Anyway, I just go direct to the airlines, only using those sites to find good deals. Usually, you can do better direct.
As someone said, the budget airlines just don't care...every thing is e-ticket anyway!
I have had luck with http://www.e-bookers.com. They accepted a US charge card and an address in Slovenia...when it wasn't part of the EU. They may accept Australia. You will have to pay extra to have any documents mailed by Fedex though.
Cheers,
Jan

Also you may want to try onetravel.com
I'm most sure if they take an Aus credit card, as I haven't had to try that. But I do know that they will let you book flights that don't originate or end in the US, unlike many of the majors boooking sites. So, they might. Not an endorsement of them, but something to check into.
