Where to Stay London

$150-200 per night Any Nice Hotels in Central London for around this price. I dont want to end up in a hole in the wall. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you

Londontown.com had Millenium Baileys or Millenium Kensington for 100 GBP /night. Great area and NOT a hole in the wall!

Another good website is www. tripadvisor.com. You can usually get some good deals at some of the better hotels.

Personal favorites are Durrants (across from the Wallace Collection and very English) & The Westland (across from Kensington Park) with pleasant staff and full English breakfast included in the price. Both are reasonably priced and in great locations.

expedia.co.uk has currently got some pretty good deals. You should be fine anywhere within Zone 1 on the tube map (go to thetube.com - you can look on there).

Hope that you have a lovely time over here!

Hi
regarding Millenium Bailey's, I have friends who have stayed there on each of their many trips to London, excepting one trip. The following year they went back to Bailey's.
Convenient location, across the street from Gloucester Rd tube stop.

There's an enormous amount of info on this subject already here if you do a text search. For websites to check, include Londonnights.com, laterooms.com and lastminute.com, wotif.com, hotel-assist.com, and simply-london.com

Remember the tax (VAT) is 17.5% so if it's not included in the price quote you must add it. At the current exchange rate, you're looking to pay about 100GBP including VAT!

Priceline is, by far, the best value option for London if you're not more than 2 in a room & if you're reasonably flexible. Read biddingfortravel.com CAREFULLY though & consider getting insurance in case of cancellation. In fact, be careful of cancellation policies on any 3rd party website.
