Where to stay in Siena
We'll be traveling by train to Siena from Varenna in mid-May. I tried to get a reservation at Palazzo Ravizza in Siena, but they are booked over our dates. I'm really disappointed. Does anyone have a suggestion on another hotel or B&B that has a lot of charm? We will be picking up a car midway through our stay in Siena, so we need parking. Pricewise, we can go up to 200 euro for a twin room/breakfast. Thanks.

That's a coincidence. I was just doing some research and was looking at their website a moment ago. I sent an inquiry on types of rooms and prices. They did not state prices on their webite. Do you have any feedback on the type of room to request or what their price range is? How were their breakfasts?

I'm sorry I don't remember the price, but it had to be below 200 euro because I'm cheaper than that!
Ask for a room away from the street, which will be quieter. The breakfast was great. I remember it being one of my favorites in Italy.

My husband and I also enjoyed the Hotel Santa Caterina last summer. We did have a room on the street...and there was a bike race while we were there...I watched from my window...the room was two stories..and not large...very clean, a great breakfast, great view from the courtyard...and a quick walk to everything! Price was good...don't rememeber amount...I would stay again!

I'm booked into this place for an upcoming trip, so can't yet comment on the experience:
