Where to next?

Are you finally going to a new place or are you heading back to an old favorite?

We hope to go to Turkey for the first time in 2009.

Then we know we will have to go back to Italy in 2011. It just keeps calling our names.

Having seen most of Spain, we are working on Italy. Venice and the lakes next. The guide books have been on the shelf in front of me for too long now.

We are going to Scotland this year - a first for me, only for a week though. Got a family wedding in York before heading north. Otherwise we wouldn't have had a holiday this year probably. We may go off to La Palma again for a bit of sun later in the year if the summer doesn't improve.
Next year Africa is calling us back. After that who knows?

Always a new place...via an old favourite! Amsterdam and Belgium with a touch of Paris and London.

A little from column 'A', a little from column 'B'...

Heading back to Iceland in October, and going to pastures new,Tokyo, early next year.

As excited as a kid at Christmas about both.

I spend early December till early March in Thailand, notably Bangkok since I'm not a beach person. Flight from France and good accommodation for 3 months comes to about £950. The cost of living is cheap there too and transport costs peanuts.

I know people who have spent more than that on a week away. Considering the weather in Europe the last several weeks, I might have been there now had I known.
