Where to Honeymoon in Italy??
Our wedding is the first weekend of November, we were considering going to Italy for our honeymoon. Where should we go? We would like to relax and do some sightseeing. Any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks.

How long of a trip? Maybe Venice and some central location in the Florence/Tuscany where you can do day trips. Rome is great too if you haven't been, but it sounds like you may want something a bit quieter.
Much depeneds on the length of the trip and your budget (with reagrd to hotels).

We were thinking 10 days. I was thinking flying into Venice and out of Rome. I would really love to go to CAPRI, but would the weather be ok to go? We would like to do some sightseeing, but also relax and visit some wineries. Any info or itineraries you can recommend is appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

Venice will be COLD but uncrowded and certainly romantic. Avoid ripoff restaurants close to the major tourist sights - get yourself lost and then pick the first restaurant you see that is full of locals.
Capri will obviously be warmer - but not warm enough to enjoy the beach much and therefore many places (including some hotels and restaurants) may be closed.
I like your idea of using an open-jawed ticket. You two are going to be tired after the wedding so don't over-book yourself by running helter-skelter from town to town. For a 10-day trip you would not run out of things to do if you stuck to just Venice and Rome. But one more stop in between might be nice - Florence or Siena are the obvious choices. Enjoy!

We did Italy on our honeymoon, but didn't leave right after the wedding. We actually waited two months, for better weather. The main point is that you don't want to be exhausted. We used FF miles and that made us have to go into Florence and out of Rome. We took the train to Venice in the middle. The ideal is Venice/Florence/Rome or vice versa so that you don't have to backtrack. We hired a driver for two days when we are in Florence and he took us all through Tuscany, to Pisa, Lucca and Cinque Terra. It was money well spent bec. we never could have seen that much in two days. We used the train for all transportation within Italy. We were there for two weeks.
