My fiance and I relied heavily on this site when we planned a wonderful trip to Paris and Provence 2 years ago. We are looking to this site again for guidance in helping to narrow down options for our October 2006 honeymoon. We would like to chose 2 of the following destinations to visit over 2 weeks but are having trouble identifying which ones are the most intersting/beautiful/romantic, and which ones would work nicely together from a logistical perspective
1. Barcelona
2. Florence/Tuscany
3. Amalfi Coast
4. Rome
5. Dalmatian Coast
6. Istanbul

Which ones have you liked?

To complicated things, we've been given 2 nights of free accomodations at an Orient Express Group hotel (long story) which are located in Florence, Portofino, Venice, and Amalfi Coast, making us feel compelled to include Italy in our itinerary.

Rome and Amalfi Coast are my favorites. Although a night at the Splendido would certainly up the ante. I thought Portofino was the most serenly beautiful place while Amalfi Coast is very dramatic in it's beauty. Either way though you can't go wrong. Have fun and happy honeymoon.
