Where to go after Paris

We are planning a trip to Paris for a week and a week in Germany (for May). We already have three days planned in the Rhineland, around St. Goar. We are trying to figure out where to go the remaining 4 days. Have already been to Munich, Heidelburg, Baden Baden, Regensburg. We are taking the train from Paris. Thanks so much for any suggestions.

If you would like a place that is French with a German flavor, do Strasbourg and the Alsace wine region. The villages on the wine route are storybook adorable and the food is wonderful. I also found the people to be quite friendly.

I concur with Strasbourg. It is a beautiful city. There's an article in this month's Gourmet magazine about Strasbourg and surrounding towns, although it's about the Christmas Season.
