Sorry, but I completely disagree about Cane e Gatto in Siena.
I was there for dinner at the last week of October (I was guest) and I appreciated nothing.
I disliked that there is no choice, I disliked the very long awaiting time and, even I did not pay, I disliked very much how expensive the bill was !

Ciao.

Vincenzo

Thanks, Vicenzo!

I would love to hear some of your favorite places in the Positano/Amalfi area...where would YOU eat if you wanted a special meal?

Grazie mille!

Oh, I would suggest LA TORRE DEL SARACINO at Marina di Seiano, an hamlet of Vico Equense.
Chef and patron the big Gennaro Esposito.
In Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, do you know what ?!?!!? I do not suggest you DON ALFONSO, not because not good. Alfonso is excellent, but to take care of wallet a very smart choice is, few metres from Don Alfonso: LO STUZZICHINO, the chef is Paolo, and his son Mimmo with his sweet wife Dora is the patron.
Then Quattro Passi at Nerano.
Then, Acquapazza at Cetara, La Caravella in Amalfi.

I have been living in Penisola Sorrentina (Piano di Sorrento and Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi) for 25 years until 3 years ago.
I come back there often because of my job and also because I have there my friends.
My next time is . . . now: from December 20 until December 26, so that I will sped Christmas in my beloved Penisola Sorrentina !
