Can anyone tell me where this small city is in Croatia (or possibly elsewhere in former Yugoslavia)? You guessed it, I'm going there in April to trace my roots.

In Croatia there isn't a place called Bogatec. But there is Bogatic (original spelling has a small oblique line above the letter c). Could you possibly mean Rogatec which is a small village in Slovenia right just outside one of the Croatian borders?
