Born in Queens, but lived in Somerville NJ until 11. Great memories of weekends spent in the Manhattan and the Lower East Side (first pair of glasses at Sol Moscot in Orchard St).
Moved to Londonderry NH. Great memories of taking the train into Boston to get fruit & veg at Haymarket.
Post college, flitted around to NJ, Philadelphia, Palo Alto, and then to Boston where I met the love of my life at MIT. Who promptly took me away to Atlanta (10 years and 2 children there) and then onwards to Indianapolis.
Love to travel; have explored all but South America and Africa.

Born in Washington DC.
Growing up, I lived in Virginia, Florida, Arkansas, Louisiana, Ohio, then moved back to Arkansas. Got married in 1990, and since 1994 we have lived in the UK, Belgium, Maryland, and now we're back in the UK for a while.
We've loved living overseas, but it's time for us to go home, at least for a while. Hope to move back to the States by Christmas 2004.

Ths is amazing that this thread is still alive, When I first posted this I knew few regular posters and now I have met so many who are so agreeable to help you with trips or join in on a fun thread and not take things so seriously. I belive that Black is a safe choice but not something I would wear except at a funeral or a cocktail party(maybe) I believe you should be yourself on your best behavior when you travel, but don't leave behind your sense of humor. I believe we all should have great travel adventures that suit us.

In this life....I was born in Gary Indiana, because that was the closest hospital to my home town of Lowell. I still live in the area but did spend nine years in St. Louis, Missouri. I have travelled extensively in the US and many times to Ireland, which keeps calling me back.

As of this Thursday, I will live in Batavia, Illinois. Other places I have called home include:
Blytheville, AR
Indianapolis, IN
Ridgewood, NJ
Dalton, PA (Scranton)
Sandy Springs, GA (Atlanta)
Athens, GA
Evanston, IL
Chicago, IL
Deerfield, IL
If I won the lottery and could live anywhere, I'd live in Hana, Maui half of the year and somewhere in Switzerland the other half.

Born Freeport, New York
Lived... (in order)
West Islip, New York
High Falls, New York
Manhattan, New York
Queens, New York
Branford, Connecticut
Elmont, New York
Peterborough, New Hampshire
Fremont, California
Alameda, California
Burbank, California
Studio City, California
Alameda, California
Burbank, California
North Hollywood, California
Burbank, California
Hackensack, New Jersey
Secaucus, New Jersey
Yes I have lived on some places more than once.
I lived in Burbank the most times but if you total all of them it only equalled 6 months.
Of all the place I liked Alameda the best.
If I had my choice to live in any one of those places again it would be in the Los Angeles area.
If I could pack my things and move to another country it would be Paris, France.
The place I hated the most was Elmont, New York.
The place I hated second most is Secaucus, New Jersey.
My favorite state is California. Least favorite - New Jersey.
The worst dump I ever lived in was in Queens, New York.
Place I lived for the least amount of time - Hackensack, New Jersey (1 month)
Place I lived for the longest- West Islip (16 years in childhood)
Place I loved but have no desire to move back to - San Francisco Bay area.
Average time at all locations - 2.33 years.
That means I only have 20 months left in New Jersey.

cigalechanta: " except at a funeral or a cocktail party."
Most funerals I attend turn out to be cocktail parties.

Man, I thought I was the only sicko who liked this place. Never a dull moment here.

Amazing Stories here!
Mine is so dull - born in Cleveland, OH, moved to a town of 3,000 people called Loudonville, OH and grew up there.
My parents owned and operated a canoe and campground so grew up watching others travel to my town thinking they were nuts! Made fun of all the tourists constantly.
Lived in Wilton, CT for 5 years and Milton, MA for 2, now am back in Ohio and travel lots. Love coming to this site and reading where everyone else goes.

Hi Mimi - nothing like responding to a question almost two years after-the-fact. Nothing better to do on this Thursday evening in the Middle East, so what the hell...
Born in Mississippi
Raised in Colorado
Have lived in Africa (as a child)
North Dakota as an adult (yeah, go ahead and laugh), Wyoming, Texas, Saudi Arabia and now KUWAIT.
It's a mere 125 degrees F on this fine Thursday night. Sure wish I were somewhere else....

How long do you have to be in a place to qualify as having lived there? Anyway...Born in Puerto Rico, currently have a PO Box in Puerto Rico and I file my taxes in Puerto Rico. As of saturday though, I am as the Willie Nelson song states "on the road again".
