When to add in Bratislava, if at all?
We will be spending 10 days at the end of December and early January in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. We are wondering if the timeframe will permit a visit to Bratislava as well.
Do you recommend time in Bratislava? Is a day enough? If so, should we visit en route from Prague to Vienna or Vienna to Budapest?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you as always.

I did Bratislava as a day trip from Vienna - one hour each way by train and loved it
and a day trip is enough
can go also by hydrofoil depending on season
i was there in January - weather was about 55 and sunny but i may have been lucky
compact and neatly restored old town centre on Danube
no problem chaning euro bills or using ATMS - kiosks changing small amounts of money everywhere with what seemed were minor fees. (Euro not in use - Slovakian crowns (i think it's a crown) but things are cheap.
Vienna is the best place to go there from i think - quickest.

I agree with P-Bob. The hydrofoil is a lot more expensive than the train, and I don't think it is worth it.
I didn't change money at all. Many places serving the tourist trade accept euros -- possibly not at a great exchange rate, but as we didn't spend much, it wasn't worth worrying about.
