When is the best month to visit Barcelona and Madrid?
We have the option of going late August for 8-10 days or late September/Early October.

No brainer-Sept/Oct.
August too hot and many places close to go on vactaion.

Without question for you Sept/Oct, I also like early May but that is not one your options.

Those who can afford to escape Madrid in August do.
