Anyone know what companies are doing interesting things nowadays? Modern, hip hop, whatever?

Is Sadler's Wells pretty much the place to go?

The short answer is not as good as it used to be when LDCT were around. But never mind.

Yes, Sadlers Wells is the main space for contemporary dance. There is The Place too, and The Barbican Arts Centre also hosts performances. Best time to be in London is probably during Dance Umbrella in the autumn.

Rambert Dance Company, Phoenix, Arc Dance company amongst others all have websites. They tour as well so if you can't catch them in London you might find they are performing in Manchester, or York, or etc. etc.

Cheers.

Thanks, Dalai. We do hope to see some ballet, too.

afterall, I will check the websites of those companies. Maybe we'll just need to come sometime in the fall. Thanks!

afterall, really looks like some exciting work on those websites. I had been discouraged by what I was able to find on my own.

Now will need to see what's on when we're there.

I timed my own last visit to Europe badly - being just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hope you have better luck.
