What's going wrong....sncf site?

Sorry but here I am again..... I REALLY need help...wish MorganB was out there.

Trying to book Avignon departure on Oct. 28., going to Paris. I get the trains which the site says are available for Oct 28, ...several are in the morning.

I choose 10h09 train number 6172 (off peak )going to Paris, I click on "choose this outward journey" and next page is Rechercher Votre Billet.
Then it shows a box for time ..10h...I put in 2 seniors and when I hit search now I get... outward journey available 28/10 is Avignon 20h01 Paris 22h41 Fare of 48 Euros.

What happened between the click on "choose this outward journey" that showed train #6172 leaving at 10h09...and the nest page that only shows a train leaving at 20h01 and the fare of 48 euros?????

I really need some help as I have tried this about 6 times and always get the same result. It seems the morning train that showed as an available one earlier in the search disappears.

Good question...I just tried it and the exact same thing happened to me..must be the site as opposed to anything you are doing wrong.

Dukey...

Thank you for saving me from thinking I am crazy.
My husband wants to start grilling the steak and here I am playing around for 2 hours with that booking. Guess I'll go get dinner going and try later...not that I am really going to get anything different.

I believe you're booking too far ahead. Perhaps the overnight trains have longer booking periods, but most day trains are around 60 days. You're trying to book a train over 90 days ahead.

Isn't that beyond the 90-days limit..?

I resolved the mystery..I have also tried it.You cannot buy your ticket for the simple fact that you are too early.
Try again July 28th ..
