THANK YOU. Are these taxis easy to find and/or is there some kind of information desk at the airport that can direct me to the kiosk? How do I know if I'm being ripped off? Do you set the price ahead of time or is there a set price?

I located a Prague travel agency on the Net that handles not only hotels but booked a taxi for me for airport pick-up.
I did not book my hotel through them but they quoted a very fair price for the taxi and I paid the driver directly.I think it was no more than $30--$35.

I actually misspoke with "kiosk" - there are dispatcher persons who work for the various taxi companies just outside the baggage claim doors - I've found an "AAA" person right away, other times I just saw a bunch of AAA cabs parked across the drive and just walked over to them. They will show you a sheet with likely cost if asked - it can vary according to traffic conditions - but they use meters and AAA are very reputable. I think the bad rap on Prague taxis (which was richly deserved going back 30 years or more from personal experience) has led to a house-cleaning as it were. Haven't heard of taxi ripoffs for some time, but maybe I'm not listening. Regardless, never had a problem with AAA.
Be sure to get some Czech currency at one of the ATMs in the airport first. Asking a cab driver to convert foreign currency is asking for trouble.
