What makes more sense ?

Ciao,
We have a 2 week vacation planned in October and will be landing in Rome and have a villa apartment in Positano for a week then go to Siena for a week before flying home from Rome.

What makes more sense, renting a car for 2 weeks, driving to Postano ( I have a parking spot and won't be driving much while there), then driving to Siena?

Or have a driver take us to Positano and rent a car ( where I dont know?) when we go to Siena but the car has to be left at the airport in Rome ?

I have no problem driving with the crazy people cause I am one of them.

Thanks, Mike

If you don't intend to drive in Positano, take the train and rent the car in Naples or Rome on your way to Siena, assuming that you intend to drive more around Siena. Try AutoEurope.com or Economycarrentals.com for rentals.

Yes Mikey, you may be mad. Why would anyone click on this post with no country noted nor any reference to the topic.

But, here I am--must also be crazy. Here is what I would do.
Train to Naples, but hire a private driver for transfer to Positano--about 100E and worth it.

As you leave, get your car in Sorrento from AE and drive to Tuscany from there. Good luck--sounsd like fun !

What Bob said - you could also rent the car in Salerno as opposed to Sorrento.
