Just read a posting and it mentions that they should have got the Heritage Card. What is it?

What country are you asking about?

if it is the UK - then it is the Great British Heritage Pass. That is a good deal - 85% to 90% of all the Castles, Gardens, Stately Homes, and historic Sites are covered.

If you are asking about some other country - let us know . . . .

go to the above website to read all about it and what sites you can get into. Usually it is a moneysaver if you go to 3 or so sites.

I'm sorry, I saw "Heritage Card" listed on a post from Ireland.

Sueks,

The Heritage Card, from the Duchas in Ireland, is, I think, a worthwhile investment. Many the sites people recommend are a part of the Heritage list, and the entry fees do mount up, whereas the card is 19 Euro per person. Once you pay the per person fee, you get a card to carry that's good for entry into any of the Heritage sites, for a full year.

All you have to do is buy it at the first Heritage site you visit.

Some of the major ones are:
Rock of Cashel
Cahir Castle
Glendalough
Kilkenney Castle
Reginalds Tower, Waterford
Hill of Tara
Muckross House

many others...

check out the address lrrover gave you. It has the full list.

Clifton, thank you so very much for the info on the Heritage Card. Looks like we should certainly check it out.
