My family and I also collect the beautiful Lladro figurines. I have mine displayed in a custom made glass cabinet. I am always complimented on my collection by everyone that sees them. And, I purchased the most adorable outfits and leather shoes during our visit to Spain last Fall.

Granada - inlaid wood items. Look around before buying to find a unique piece. My sister bought one a a little factory that was completely different from everything else we saw.

Toledo - Inlaid gold and silver on blackened steel. Intersting geometric designs. Necklaces were a good value (been a number of years, not sure how inexpensive they are now, but unique nontheless)

Just returned from Costa del Sol (Marbella) yesterday. Lladro is still a great buy. Be sure to watch out for the fake pearls, know whom you are purchasing from. I didn't purchase any leather goods, they seemed to smell too strong, and the quality was not very good. The pottery in Seville and Mijas was an excellent buy.(Take your bubble wrap!)My best buy was the olive oil at $9.00 a gallon!

As in Italy, there are different types of leather. You get what you pay for darling. I bought exceptional leather pants, jacket and shoes in Spain for reasonable prices, not cheap. I only purchase quality items, even if it costs more. As for the olive oil, there is an assortment offered which are all quite delicioso. Viva Espana!

Definitely shoes and clothing. And any food items that you can sneak back into your country will be appreciated by everyone. My family loved the saffron, wines, olive oil and cheese. Next time, I will bring back some of the beautiful pottery and fancy tiles. And, maybe a cape!

Another product worth buying are Camper shoes. This is a "hip trendy" urban shoe that often retails for $140-180 in New York or San Francisco. But you can get them for $60-90 in Madrid on account of buying direct. They have lots of stores in Barcelona and Madrid. Check them out at www.camper.com.
