I thought I posted this message a few minutes ago, but now I can't see it, so I apologize if this is a duplicate...

Can someone explain open jaw to me? Can I book open jaw tixx online? I found the best deal on a flight to Venice from Boston on Orbitz. Is there any way I can book a ticket on Orbitz that allows me to fly into Venice and out of somewhere else?

On most Web sites, click MULTI-CITY, to do open-jaw flights.

Also, if you click on your name, above after WELCOME, all your posts will list on the left.

Open jaw means exactly that. Flying out of one city and returning to another.

I nearly always fly open-jaws on US Airways to Europe. I will fly into Rome, Frankfurt, Munich for example and always fly home from Paris. The cost is within just a few dollars of being the same as a conventional round-trip; sometimes actually being a few bucks cheaper. After arriving in Europe I have often flew open-jaws to make the best use of my time. Last Sept. I flew Frankfurt to Stockholm and Oslo to Frankfurt. I have done this in Europe using Travelocity a few times and received good prices. As mentioned previously just look for the "multiple cities" option when booking on-line.

Example: Last year I flew first to Dublin.

I flew home from Munich. I got to Munich on an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin, booked independently.

It's called "multi-city" on Orbitz, on the right side of the Flights thing. ON some other web sites it's called "multiple destinations".

I do it all the time on Travelocity.
