what are my options?

Hi all. We leave for our 3 week France trip this weekend. First week in Paris and then we are to fly from Orly to Toulouse where we will pick up our rental car and drive to our gite near Sarlat. If our flight is cancelled, how else can we arrive in TLS? Thanks

Why do you think your flight will be cancelled? Strikes?

You could take the train to Lilbourne, pick up your car there and drive the relatively short distance to Sarlat. See www.voyages-sncf.com for schedules and fares.

No automatics there and I need to get to TLS. Can I get there?

IF your flight is cancelled you'll get on the next available one.

If your flight to Toulouse is cancelled, there will be another flight 30 minutes later. Or one hour at the worst. It is a "shuttle" destination (one reason being the fact that most of the AF headquarters is actually located in Toulouse, so it is a lifeline for them).

kerouac and whathello are both French so they should know the nitty-gritty of all of this - put angst to rest.

If ever taking TGV and Lilbourne is not an option, Bordeaux would have automatics and it's not a bad drive from Sarlat.
