West End Shows

We are planning to visit London in October. What are some of the shows we should consider ? We are in our fifties, enjoyed My Fair Lady and loved Mamma Mia! What about Bombay Dreams? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Haven't seen Bombay Dreams, but my wife and I enjoyed Mamma Mia, and I'd think you might want to consider Blood Brothers, or if you haven't ever seen it, The Mousetrap is one to remember!

All in all, the website for the Society of London Theatres is probably your best bet, as it tells you a bit about each show, and you can choose based on that.

Best wishes for a great trip! Dave

I loved Bombay Dreams! Two Thumbs Up! If you haven't seen The Lion King, you should its a real production. On a smaller note, try the Almeida in Islington or the The Hampstead Theatre for smaller scale/theatrical productions. Another good one is called Abigail's Party - Mike Leigh's dark comedy about a 70's dinner party.

Reg_ I just saw The Lion King in Chicago where I live. So I'll take your word and try to see Bombay Dreams. Now I need two other shows.

I saw Bombay Dreams this January and loved every minute of it. The music is so upbeat. Just make sure you get good seats. Enjoy.

I have just seen "The Rat Pack" and thought it was fantastic. Very slick and the music memorable.

Just returned from London and saw Blood Brothers. Enjoyed it very much. Would definitely recommend it. (We also loved Lion King and Mamma Mia which we saw in the States).
