Wengen Cog Train, how scary is it??

First trip to Switzerland and planning to spend a few days in Wengen. I have seen photos of cog trains which nearly hang off of the side of the mountain and since I have some degree of height fright, I'm wondering if we should consider another location (I'm okay as long as there is not a steep vertical drop right next to the car).

Any advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks, Cindy

The train to Wengen isn't scary in the least as far as I remember.

Nothing there "hangs off the side of a mountain. The track is sometimes quite exposed; however if you have fear of heights, just sit down on the opposite side.

I agree. I have height freight as well and have no problem with the train. I don't recall it being an issue whatsoever.

I think the one hanging to the side of a mountain in most photos is the train up Mt. Pilatus (near Luzern). The train up to Wengen is fine.
