website that shows interiors of Eurostar sleeper

I know I've seen links here before showing what the inside of the train with the couchettes in them. Anyone have a link? I've checked several sites but can only get fare info..no images.

Was it this site:

http://www.seat61.com/Europe.htm

FYI: sleepers and couchettes are different things. The difference is probably explained on this site, too.

Think of bunkbeds: very similar, but not as comfortable. One problem with the couchettes is where to keep your luggage when the beds are pulled down and there are 6 people in the compartment.

So what do you do? Surely everyone has a piece of luggage. Where do they expect you to store it?

Come to the realization now that the couchettes are the lowest end sleeping accommodation available. If there is anywhere to store anything it might be underneath the two lower beds...get to the couchette early and be prepared to sleep in your clothes.

Can you at all afford a double? I think it is well worth the money if you are willing to put off buying that new Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt for a few weeks.

Couchette compartments have luggage racks near the ceiling. Sleeper compartments have one, two or three berths, wash basins and more space - and cost more, of course. The most expensive on some trains have bathrooms. As with a hotel, it depends what comforts you want and how much you're willing to pay.

The trains that go from Paris to Venice have double, quads and a room w/ 6 couchettes. I was told no triples were available. If we do this, there will be myself, my husband and teen age son and my parents. It would be more comfortable for them to get a double and maybe us to get the quad room.

I would definitely recommend getting a private room such as the quad. You will have more privacy, be much more comfortable, and you will have luggage storage. The private rooms are definitely tight, but not any more tight than a couchette but the privacy and comfortness that goes along with the private rooms are worth the price in my opinion.

Good luck!

One last question.... I know that if we're in a 6-person couchette we'd use the restroom at the end of the car but what about the double and quad room? Do they have their own wc?
