Weather in Rome at night around June 20th?

Do I need just a sweater at night or is it still pretty humid?

Last week the weather was gorgeous in Rome. I had on slacks with a t-shirt for the day and then had a cotton jacket for the night and it was perfect. However, the next day when we were leaving you could start feeling the humidity creep in. I usually fly to Rome for work everyweek during the summer so I always take a light cotton jacket for the night . Sweaters tend to get to heavy when the humidity kicks in.The obnoxious weather doesn't usually start until the end of July and then all of August.Save some red wine for me next week!

We were in Rome 2 years ago probably starting June 24th or so. It was hot, hot, hot. We were showering and changing clothes twice a day. Maybe it was unusual?

We were in Rome 5 years ago from June 18t to the 21st. It was beautiful weather; needing a light sweater even during some of the days. I just looked at my pictures since we are leaving for Rome again on June 21st. I wore a skirt, capri's and even longer shorts when we went to the Forum area. At night I wore a sleeveless dress and carried a sweater. The Weather Channel on line lists next week in the low 80's. I think packing is the hardest part of the trip!

check accuweather.com up to 15 days before you arrive.

Two years ago, we were in Rome in late June, and I definitely needed a light cardigan in the evenings.

have a great trip!

Having posted the reply to this question on the basis of my last trip in June five years ago, I now have new information upon returning this June. Italy was HOT! We were there from June 22nd through July 3rd, almost the same time period as our previous trip. Rome was about 95 degreees each day and Florence was 104. Not pleasant. Fortunately, the heat wave broke by the time we reached Venice where we found delightful breezes and 80 degree days.

I had checked the Weather Channel and Accu weather prior to leaving and got conflicting reports. The first listed low 80 degree days and Accuweather listed HOT in red. Now I know what to believe.

I'm sorry that you experienced the type of hot weather we had in late June two years ago. It really saps your energy, doesn't it? We will be in Rome mid-August this year and I am hoping it isn't too hot.

I usually go to Rome everyweek and the past month has been extremely warm particularly the past 3 weeks so dress accordingly.Drinking a beer is more refreshing than wine?
