weather in Ireland next week
Hi. Was planning to land in Dublin coming Wednesday July 14th to spend a week in Ireland. The weather forecast looks dire. should I change my plans? I can postpone my trip to August or September.

Having lived in Ireland for a year, I would say the weather is a crap shoot 99% of the time. What I remember most, particularly on the west coast, was that there would be periods of clear sky most days between the rain storms and showers.

Hard to predict the weather in Ireland in the coming hours let alone weeks in advance. It is what comes with living on an Island, on the edge of Europe facing into the oncoming weather systems of the Atlantic ocean.
But as many comment - it's why things are so greeeeeeeeeeeeen! Rough with the smooth I suppose

It is looking like 16 - 180C with showers. The weather has been pretty good since early May but as with last year the weather has dived down hill since the end of Wimbledon. Now getting the feeling that the high pressure in the Med had set in and it may be another stinker for Northern Europe.
You don't go to Ireland for the weather.
However, the past two late August/Early Septembers have been better. This may be when the Med high starts to weaken.
As pastyp said living on the edge of Europe means it drops in Ireland first.
