Weather in Amsterdam end of October?

Have just started looking at Amsterdam for a short week long trip. I was there for a day in early June in 2000. Everyone said the weather would be mild, maybe even cool. It was 93 and humid! Whats the average in late Oct., early Nov.? Is there a possibly of snow that early? Cold is okay, just not freezing cold, but I have no idea what it is suppose to be like. Thanks in advance.

Probably cool to cold and wet, or at least cloudy, and windy, but there again it could be dry and sunny and fairly warm. There is no way of predicting what it will be like. The whole summer has been horrible, more like autumn, so who know what November will bring. Snow is unlikely but always possible, just as low 70s are also possible but unlikely. Bring layers and waterproofs. It won´t matter that much what the weather does in the end if you are staying in Amsterdam rather than going off into the country.

We were there last year in early November. It was cold and we had some rain but it wasn't freezing. We would have worn fleece, scarf and gloves. We were outdoors quite a lot so it can't have been that bad!

Most likely a constant drizzle with an infrequent burst of sunshine. It rarely freezes in Amsterdam and won't freeze in early November. Dress layers.

We had snow in early November 2004, and on average November has 6 of days of frost, ie it never gets above freezing, but they are usually in the second half.
However the last couple of years November has been warmer and wetter than average, and at the same time sunnier.
