Fred,

It has recently become very much politically UNcorrect to answer questions like yours with sarcasm. But do you realize what you are asking?

In my hometown, the local newspaper religiously publishes the "average" weather for any given date. I look at it all the time.

So would it tell you anything if I were to tell you that BASED ON MY ACTUAL "PERSONAL" EXPERIENCE, it was warmer than "average" several times in the past few decades on February 22.

Oh yes, and I distinctly remember when it was colder than average on February 22. In 1984, when our third daughter was born.

On average, the weather is going to be SIMILAR to what the "average" data says it will be. Except for when it is different.

What is it with this all-bow-down praise of anecdotal personal experience, when it comes to something like weather?!

Check www.accuweather.com for 5- and 10-day forecasts, plus something they call the "RealFeel" temperature--supposedly better than wind chill/heat index for how the various factors all combine to impact our perception of the temperature.

Once you check all these web sites, please do report back here on how much more you know compared to the "usual weather reports from the books" you already had.

And then, by all means, do report back here on how the actual weather was better or worse than the "average" info you're able to gather.
