"This is quite unbelievable...
They did not check our passports upon arrival in Italy. Yup, that's right. No one even looked at them.
We followed all the signs to customs in the airport. We get there, and there is not line, but one man is having his bag searched. Two official security personnel look and my husband and I, and say the ever elusive Italian word---Prego--- and point for us to keep on going."
We had the reverse. We went through passport control but somehow never went through any kind of customs area.
Passport control was joke. The guy there was turned and talking to a friend and never even looked at our passports while stamping them.
