We leave in 3 days...

Well the count down has begun. I have suitcases and clothes pile high in my room. My house looks like a bomb went off in it Thanks to my Grandbaby Alyce. She spent the night and since I won't see her for 10 days or so all I wanted to do is play with her and love her up. I had to change the sheets on my bed too because she pee'd right through her diaper last night. But it was all worth it, I am really going to miss her, but Thank God for Skype, I can at least see her on the computer. I'm going to bring my lap top since 3 out of the four hotels were going to are wi fi. I hope to post some of our trip was we are there here on fodor's.

And how is your day going? I have the whole day off to get my uknowwhat together. Wish me luck! My grandbaby just left so now I can get some work done, but not before reading a little fodor's. I haven't been online in 3 days. I spent 2 days at a funeral home and service. Our bestfriend lost his mother and it was so sad. He has lost both his parents within 14 months time. My heart is so hurt for him. His sister's were beside themselves with grief. Anyone who has lost a parent I'm sure can understand how they must be feeling.

God Bless and if you can, Call your parents and tell them how much you love them.

Theresa in Detroit.

Hi Theresa, oh yes, I remember the little ones with their leaky diapers and consequently a wet bed, lol.

Theresa I am sorry about your friends mother. It is difficult to accept but I am sure your presence helped the family.

Now you get that house in shape and get packed and Theresa have a wonderful trip!

My day is going fine except I am in a fog so to speak. We had a wonderful Fodor's GTG in San Francisco last night. And I stayed up really late and with daylight savings time starting today..I am not getting much done. There is another Fodor's GTG tomorrow also. A luncheon in San Francisco. And after that I must get ready for two grandsons birthday celebrations. So I need to get my act together starting with changing the time on all my clocks, lol.

Hugs to you, I so look forward to hearing about your trip. Enjoy!

Mamaw, you sound like such a loving grandmother. Bless you! Babies do grow up so fast. Isn't Skype wonderful so that you don't miss a thing!

Have a great trip. Where are you going?

LoveItaly, You are so sweet. I'm glad you did the GTG, I bet you all had a ball. And 2 Grandson's you lucky thing you. I hate the whole change your clock thing. And if you don't do it right away, MIX UP, hey what time is it. And Thank you for your thoughts on my Friends family. I just can't believe how many bad things and death has happened over the last 2 years. My dad used to tell me "the older you get the more people you know die" now I get it. Have a fog-free day sweetie.

swisshiker I can only hope to be the best grandma to the baby. She is so worthy. God has truly blessed me more than I had ever thought he could. That baby is my best friend!

I am going to...
London
Normandy
Bayeux
Loire Valley
Versailles
and last but not in the least
PARIS...I LOVE PARIS IN THE SPRING TIME!

I am going with a group of teenagers. We leave Detroit 3/12, and I can't believe it's here already.

Have a great night.

Oh my, Mamaw, you are a brave woman to travel with a group of teenagers! But then again, the gaiety and humor of youth. Gotta love their sparkle. We oftentimes lose sight of that as we grow older. This is a wonderful opportunity for them. Their eyes will be opened to the world!

I will be eagerly awaiting your trip report as my DH and I will be following in your footsteps beginning in April (well, not the London part but the rest).

Yes, Paris in the springtime should be marvelous!

Happy travels!
