San Francisco GTG participants--Saturday plans?

Hello all.

For those who will be attending the GTG on 10/24, I was wondering if anyone has plans for Saturday night? In Kodi's trip report she highly recommends a show called Beach Blanket Babylon. I'm planning to see this and I'm wondering if anyone else would care to join me?

Here's a link to the show.

If anyone would like to share any other plans for Saturday you are welcome to post here.

Sure, that's it. Wait till the day we fly home from SF, and THEN got to BBB.

Only kidding. It's a great show we've seen probably 7 or 8 times. You'll love it. Be sure to have a couple drinks first and/or during and you'll love it even more.

It must be very good if you've seen it 7 or 8 times, thanks for the recommendation. I wish you could join us for the show, but I'm looking forward to meeting you at the GTG.

Anyone else?

P_M-You will love BBB. I just saw it last time I was in town (Aug). My DD's best friend from college is in the show so we went to see it. She went to UC Irvine with my daughter and joined the cast a few months ago. There are also a couple of other UCI alumni in the cast including the girl who plays Snow White.

My DD's friend plays a couple of different parts including Brittany Spears and Hilary Clinton. You will understand all this when you see the show.

I am thinking now about not returning until Sunday but since I just saw the show will probably pass on that.

p_m,
bbb is one of those shows that you can watch every couple of months or so.
it is a satirical musical based on the current events.
you can imagine the fodder for the current shows.....they spare no one!
unless you have box seats, it is first come, first served.
it is a tiny hall but, you may want to consider getting there early to get a prime spot.
see you on the 24th!

Thank you, P_M, I saw it already this year. Thinking how much politics they've most likely added... I'm so tired of all the arguments everywhere, and the phone calls, and stuffed mailbox...

Next time

And I agree with the posters above: you will love it!

Go to the Beach Blanket Babylon site and look at the show pictures. Here's just one new one with McCain and Palin "impersonators". There's another with a paper doll cut-out character of Cindy McCain. Click on the pics to expand them all.

Pretty funny stuff.

Faina-I am open all day on Saturday and not flying back until 8:30 pm. I have no plans. I am waiting right now to see if LoveItaly will need a ride back to her home.

If she does maybe you'd like to ride along and we can make a fun stop somewhere. If she doesn't need a ride, I am open for anything.

Dear Paula and P_M, please don't put off making plans in SF on Saturday due to me. No doubt we will be coming in on Friday for the GTG by car but if that doesn't work out I don't want to attend the GTG and thus take away from your time in beatiful SF on Saturday. And no doubt coming in by car Friday will work out.

Paula, I apologize but I overlooked your last post. I tend to do that when I am posting on the sly from work, sorry. ;-)

I would love to ride with you to take LoveItaly home, I bet it's a very nice drive and it will give me a chance to see some new parts of California. One of the main reasons for this trip is to meet and spend time with our dear friend LoveItaly. Besides, I have the rest of the day Saturday and all day Sunday to see SF. So count me in on the drive home, there's nothing I would rather do.

Hey. Does all this LoveItaly talk mean she's no longer a fence-sitter? I thought we were still waiting for a definite from her? Looking forward to her being a part of this.

No, barbed-wired

(sorry LoveItaly, just couldn't resist, didn't mean anything naughty)
