Schuler, perhaps you can clarify what is CHF205 is for so that Grrr feels better. You say a group price of SFr.205 but for what, Transportation ? Apero ?

The next day after the tour....

We had a great time. We left Goldau in the pouring rain and arrived in Zürich to find the weather much more pleasant and dry.

We were 26 people (6 people cancelled at the last minute) and we had 2 tour guides. The group consisted of my adult English students, 6 New Zealanders and Nannibray and her husband. Our hired tour guides were locals and guided us through Zürich for two hours while explaining the history and buildings. It was very nice and everyone was satisfied with their guide.

Because each tourguide costs SFr. 205 per group, we split the costs among each group. The price was SFr. 15.-- per person.

I really enjoyed meeting Nannibray and her husband. They were very nice, energetic people and a delight to talk to.

Next July we'll be going to Rapperswil for an English tour. It will probably be again the first Thursday in July. If anyone would like to join our group, mark your calendars now and contact me sometime next spring.

Tschüss Zäma!

Thanks, schuler, for posting the report! I've been sitting here sad and miserable about not being in Switzerland, not meeting friendly Fodorites, and not discovering Zürich! So it's nice to read how it all went.

Well, your 09 plans certainly give me a goal for next year!!

It sounded like you had a great tour. We only had an afternoon in Zurich 18 months ago and my daughter recently said it was one of her favourite cities.
