Wales for a week?

We are thinking of using a timeshare to spend a week in Wales and then going on to Ireland for a few days. Is there enough to see and do in Wales to keep us busy for a week? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

There is enough to see/do in Wales to fill a couple of months, let alone a week.

There are so many castles, beaches, mountains, crafts centers, and gorgeous scenery you will have a hard time narrowing down to the few things to visit.

What part of Wales is the time share? Many are concentrated on the Pembrokeshire coast which is absolutely fabulous. But if you tell us where the property is we can give you specifics re what to see.

Janis,
Would you recommend the Pembrokeshire coast over staying in Cardif proper?
I do like evening city life...so I'm leaning towards Cardif.

Apart from six months in England I've spent the last 47 years in Wales and still finding new things to do.

My wife and I spent 10 days between St Davids and Canaerfon and could have spent more. The coastline between St Davids and Aberystwyth is spectacular and Snowdonia is gorgeous. We stayed at the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and we had a beautiful room . . . just one of the many places . . . I wish I could think of the hotel we stayed in just south of Aberystwyth, overlooking the sea . . . Im sure I kept a receipt . . .

Cardiff has a lively nightlife and there are some wonderful things to see nearby. BUT the Pembroke coast has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. it is GLORIOUS. If I had my choice between Cardiff and the west coast - I'd take the coast hands down. But you know better how much "city life" you want.
