Viting London in September

Dear Fodorians

Our daughter is turning 15 in August and here in Argentina it is regarded as a major step. So we are planning a visit to London as her special birthday present.
Only mother-and-daughter trip. The rest of the family will be missing us both from Buenos Aires. We are planning to stay in London from Septemer 12th ot September the 16th.
We would love to stay at an English house that rents a private room not far from major attractions or not far from a tube station so we can move around easily.
A small cozy hotel would be perfect too.
Our budget is 100-120 pounds a day roughly.
I have checked in Air bnb but it is hard to pick a place with no recommendations.
Would you be so kind as to reccomend any?

Looking forward to yur reply,
Laura

There are many neighborhoods that would be good for you and your 15yo daughter. I'd start by looking in Russell Square/Bloomsbury, Covent Garden, South Kensington and Shoreditch

you might find premierinn.com as a sensible balance between price and comfort, the brand is all across London and, given what is happening to the Argentinian currency you may prefer to take this option.

The lodgings my family used on our trip to London are not at all what you would need. But in my research, I did find a B&B I hope to stay at on a future trip. It fits within your budget. See what you think.

Here is a review on it..

Also.... just saw Bilbo's comment and Premier Inn is a solid choice. I like Holiday Inn Express a little more. We stayed at 2 of these in England/Scotland. Our friends stayed at this particular one by Kensington and said it worked out fine. Won't have the charm of the other one I shared. Also--for your dates it is well within your budget.

Holiday Inn Express Earls Court (if this link doesn't work)
