Lodging in London

You are traveling in THREE days and don't have a booking?
"high end area but moderate price" means absolutely nothing. What is your actual budget?? (most of central London could be called 'high end')
But at this late date -good luck. You'll need a triple - try Londontown.com . . . and cross your fingers.

Lodging in London is very expensive versus the US. Plus you will want - I assume - a triple room with 2 double beds (larger than the usual room for 2 with one double bed).
Most "high end" areas are central and therefore more expensive that pleasant ones a little farther from the center (10 or 15 minutes on the tube).
To be useful you really need to give us a specific budget in $ or pounds.

Many posters have enjoyed staying at Premier Inn in the County Hall - great Thameside location right by the Eye Over London Ferris Wheel and on the South Bank with views all over London if room is on the front.
Again location is superb - walking distance to so so many sites. And Tube is nearby as well.

Premier county Inn is clean and safe, but not very interesting. A chain of hotels, like the Thistle Hotel chain, would probably have rooms available at some of their facilities - and may have a family room (3 beds). Another chain that could probably assist is the Novotel - again clean and safe, but a little trendier than the Premier County Inn group. I think the Novotel by the Tower of London is excellent.

Out of curiosity, I just checked booking.com for next week, and for 3 people in 1 room, I came up with 436 hotels with availability. There were many in highly desirable neighborhoods at favorable prices and with favorable reviews.
Not everybody lives in a high state of travel hysteria, nor should they.

Priceline won;t work for the OP - since it only guarantees a double bed for 2 people, And MANY hotel rooms in LOndon don;t have the space to add a cot - even if one of the travelers is willing to sleep on one - and the hotel is willing to honor the reservation when an extra person turns up.

"don't have the space to add a cot - even if one of the travelers is willing to sleep on one"
Especially inappropriate in this case since a 'cot' in the UK is a baby crib and one of the teenage daughters might be pretty PO'd
No, PL is not an option for anyone needing a triple. Hotwire would be. But we need the OP to come back and tell us their budget.
