Visiting the Reichstag

We tried to have breakfast at Kafe in Reichstag, but the days will be in Berlin are on saturday and sunday when it is closed. Any sugestions for an easy entrance to the building.
Thanks

It seemed the line was always long while I visited Berlin except late afternoon.

I went first thing in the morning and it wasn't bad at all. People just bunched up on the (porch?) and steps. When I came out an hour later, the line was all the way to the street. So, I guess go early or go late. Enjoy! CJ

You can make reservations for the English tour at www.bundestag.de.
We just made them for Sept.
It starts at 10:30 and lasts 1 1/2 hours.

Libanio, I have been there twice. One time in November, NO lines, we went in without waiting. It was around 6PM, after dinner time. But it was in November.

And the second time was in September, around 8-ish, and the line was all the way to the statue in front of Reichstag. So my thought would be if you go in the peak season (May-Sept) either first thing in the morning or late at night.

You have the best view if you go there after dark. The close the entrance at 22:00 and you can stay inside until 24:00. Go there after dinner. After your visit, stroll along Oranienburger Straße.

All three times that I've gone, we've had lunch at the restaurant, but I've heard that the lines are shorter late in the evening. Also I think you can make reservations at the restaurant for tea in the afternoon, if you don't want to do a lunch or dinner.
