Vienna - Hotel Location Help

My husband and I are looking into staying at Appartements Augarten June 18-21 (nice to have an apartment and a great price!). However, we have found it difficult to discern the exact location.

Their website http://members.chello.at/walkner/gallerie just mentions Tram N and 21 nearby, and from correspondance they said 20 min walk to St. Stephens. I googled the address (Obere Augartenstraße 72, A-1020 Wien) but unfortunately the map wasn't at all helpful to me!

Any help would be appreciated. We would like to stay close to the centre of attractions but don't mind a 10min tram/metro ride in every day.

Thanks for the advice.

Try putting the address into Mappy.com for an exact location.

Location is quite good - it is about 1 km from the city center, so it is walkable. The neighborhood is between the Donau Canal and the Donau River.

Beatrix Walkner is a wondeful landlady. Your apt is right by the Augarten park which is a good location, easy walk/tram ride into city center.

Good for you! You will love the apt. They also have a good restaurant on the grounf floor which serves local fare. Shop at the local Billa or Spar for coffee and breakfast items, or dinner, drinks, and snacks. We loved taking a night off and cooking in; going to the market is a fun experience. Is this your first trip to Wien?
