Hotel Mecure Nestroy or Secession Vienna

Hello,
I like to know of these two Mercure hotels which has a better location as far as being closer
to the main tourists spots.
Thanks,
mike

Assuming Mercure Nestroy is around Nestroyplatz ubahn, I would certainly not choose there. It is an area convenient to the rather grotty Prater but not much else (albeit only a few minutes by metro from centre) and is dead at night. Secession is very convenient being next to the Naschmarkt and just on the opposite side of the Ring but it is on a really busy junction and unless you get a back room (probably dark) it is a location that I would really avoid, unless opening your window to fumes does something for you. If you need a Mercure the best located one is near Schwedenplatz - so very close to action, but it is on a quiet street. Personally I would not go for a Mercure as I do not think they are great value and a bit soulless but you may be using points?

I agree with travelnick. The Mercure near Schwedenplatz is on Fleischmarkt 1a, 1010 Wien.

If you choose to save your points, I just got the Mercure Zentrum above for $60 US on priceline. I don't know if you're comfortable with that forum, but both the Secession and Zentrum come up in the 50-60 range regularly.

Have a great holiday.
