But as Yogi Berra said "It's over til it's over!"

the OP said the thread was over because he/she 'came for travel advice' and instead was getting tired of the condenscending 'if you don't listen my advice' barking and then said enough - my thread is should be over.

Over and over and over again - Fodorgarchs being Forargarchs, sadly!

I think that's what they come for - giving good advice is secondary, it seems, even when it's good advice.

P&Rs are meant for shopping trips or commuting for work - most do not allow overnight parking.>

Do you have any experience or basis to say this as it is not what I've seen in many places, including the U.K. In France at suburban stations there are parking lots that again IME allow folks to leave their cars as long as they want.

What do you base that sweeping statement on?

and most Fodorgarchs do give great advice and are some of the most veteran travelers around - I am in awe of some who are absolute experts in their own speciality country or field but it is often 'this is the way you should do it and if you don't listen to us you're an idiot' etc. This caustic approach often drives folks like the OP away - more than one novice Fodor user has literally left in tears - and this hurts Fodor's terribly - the newcomers respond to the banner ads, buy books, etc and if they are chased away by often rude retorts - like seen in this thread - they may never come back.

Thus it is a double-edged sword - Fodorgarchs give great great advice - again I am often in awe of it - but their boorish brusque didactic retorts often drive these folks away forever - to Fodor's detriment.

I wonder if any of them recognize themselves? And do they act similarly in real life? A small sample (1) in my experience tells me they do, upholding the myth of the "in" crowd, newcomers need not apply. The effort involved to always appear right, at any expense to those who they abuse, must indicate sad formative years, or something akin.

I think you may (seriously) be on the right track. Possibly Asperger's?

However, Cesky Krumolov is not a simple destination to get to by train which is why many recommend using a car service.>

From Prague it is very easy to get to by direct bus - yes it's on a sideline spur rail line so no direct trains and buses are faster. Renting a car however means you can drivfe thru C Budejevice (sp?) and other gems like Trebon - sweet large oldmarket square) and putz around off the beaten track. I've driven a few times in old Czechoslovakia and even then had no problems except for them poor beat up roads.

I traveled last summer arriving and departing from Munich took the bus to Prague and train to Cesky Krumlov it was a beautiful trip ( loved CK) pack light if you opt for buses and trains but it wasn't difficult at all. There is a bit of walking involved but nothing outragous.
Definitely have a map handy to help you navigate but everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful, driving can get very expensive very quickly.
