By the way, it looks like Museum Pass covers Trianons also, according to Rick Steves:
http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/desti...ce/versail.htm
I don't know how accurate the info is.
It looks like the fortait loisir is the one-day Versailles + transportation to Versailles that RS also mentions. Is the r/t RER fare 6 euros (per RS)? If so, this is cheaper than the one-day pass (which costs 20 euros at Versailles).
Woody, if you're still reading this, could you comment on the wait of the guided tour? I checked the Versailles website and it says that signup is on the same day starting at 9.
Thanks.

Leisure Package description and prices are here:
http://www.transilien.com/FR/TouVers.htm
Fares from Paris to Versailles are here:
http://www.transilien.com/MOVIE/FR/PrRForm.htm
If you do NOT buy the <i>Forfait</i> and you DO have a Zone 1-2 RATP pass, buy a round-trip from Issy to Versailles RG for 2.90€ and use your pass to get to Issy. A primitive knowledge of French is helpful.

I saw the first link, thanks.
Per your second link it looks like a one-way fare is 2.65 euros.
So it looks like a saving of about 4 euros with the leisure package.
I'll have to think about whether I want to go to Versailles. I'm interested in going to see the current show on the treasures from Dresden.
Does someone know if admission to that special show is separate? The website says 8 euros, but admission for the chateau is also 8 euros. So I'm not sure if admission includes the show or not. I've written Versailles to find out.
I guess I've too much time on my hands!

Anybody looking for something to while away the hours - go to the second link and enter (at least the first three characters of)
ISSY
VERSAILLES RG CHATEAU DE VERSAILLES
...and see if you get a fare of 2.65€ as 111op did. (Do <u>not</u> use MAIRIE D'ISSY, because that's in Zone 1.)

Thanks. Reply from Paris Museum Pass regarding what's covered in Versailles:
"Concerning Versailles, you can see the 'Château', the 'Grand et Petit Trianon'.
There is an extra charge for the State Apartements, for the King's Chamber and for the gardens during the water show."
I don't recall seeing a separate charge for State Apartments (thought the chateau was lumped together with this) on Versailles. But anyway, so you have it.

By the way, this from the "tarifs" page from Versailles:
Château (Grands Appartements, musée de l'Histoire de France, musée des Carrosses)
- 18 ans et plus : 8 €
- à partir de 15h30 : 6€
- scolaires, moins de 18 ans et personnes handicapées : gratuit
So I've no idea what counts as the chateau and what counts as the State Apartments, but I guess this is enough research for now.

Hi Robespierre and Edgecorp-
So, since my French is not helping at all, what was the bottom line on the museum pass that includes train fare from Paris? How much does it cost? I can't even begin to decipher those websites.
We also have 2 teenagers, so would we just buy them the train pass for 3 euro??http://www.fodors.com/forums/images/...button_alt.gif
Please help!
