Verona Easter weekend

Trying to use FF tixs for a trip to northern Italy in April. Seats are available such that we would arrive in Verona on Good Friday. We'd stay 3 nights in Verona, leaving Verona on Easter Monday. Anything special for Easter go on in Verona that weekend? Is it likely that any sights, stores and restaurants would be open? I figure Easter Sunday might have things closed, but wondered about Good Friday and Saturday. Thanks

If you get no answers here, try posting on the Tripadvisor forum. There are some destination experts there that are very informative.

We were in Varenna on Good Fri and Easter Sun this year. We left for Milan on Mon. There were restaruants open for both lunch and dinner. During Sun, the little food store was closed; however, some of the sights were open. We had no problem finding a place for lunch and dinner and after church, took a hike up the mountain. Since Verona is a much larger city than Varenna, I don't think you will much to woryy about.

Thanks, Figlu, that's helpful.
We were in N Italy on April 25 and May 1 this year and lots of things were closed, esp on May 1. Didn't want to run into that again for an entire weekend. Although with FF tixs sometimes u have to take what u get I guess.

Schuler, I did post on TA and haven't heard anything there.
