Verona is not very difficult to navigate by car, as long as you stay out of the old city center - other places are pretty modern. In any case a good GPS is always recommended - I use one in all my travels.
We stayed in Porta Palo hotel - it's very nice with reasonable prices and not very far from the city center which is pretty easy to reach by foot (15-20 minutes walk). I also recommend to rent a bike in the hotel - the price is cheap and riding the bike in Verona is fun
Here is the website for the hotel - http://www.hotelsverona.it/hotelport...l-porta-palio/
Have a nice trip,
Oleg.

Loved the photos - they brought back memories of one my very favorite places. It is always fun to look at another person's photos of a place one has been and know just where the photographer must have stood to take them. It is a shame that so many tourists treat Verona as a day trip - it has so much to offer in all respects.
