Venice to Florence

About how long of a drive is it going direct from Venice to Florence?

Why would you drive? The train takes about 3 hours and is much easier.

however, if you prefer to drive - around 4 hours hotfootin it on the Autostrada...be sure to stop off at an Autogrill.

hello there: the drive takes the better part of a day, from my memory. i believe we left early, early and arrived in florence between 16-17h00. that's including a few rest stops, but not long ones.
