Venice to Bergamo to Milan
Will be in Bergamo for a conference on April 22-23. Want to fly into Venice, arriving Sunday, April 16. I will fly out of Milan on April 26. Would appreciate advice on filling the itinerary between Venice and Bergamo and then Bergamo and Milan.
I like food, wine, art, history, architecture, nature, etc.
Thanks.

I can recommend a great hotel in Venezia -it's the Abbazia and is a converted monastery about 5 mins walk from Sanrta Lucia station. Check it out on hotelclub.com.au
I'd stay in Venice the whole time if you've never been as there is so much to se and do including throwing away the map and just getting lsot for a day.
Enjoy

RG - Between Venice and Bergamo you could visit one or more from Verona, Vicenza, Padova and Lake Garda.
Between Bergamo and Milan personally I´d take a detour out to Lake Como. You could train direct from Bergamo to Varenna via Lecco, then take ferry hop to the other mid-lake towns - Bellagio and Menaggio.
If you choose to stay a day or two in Verona, you could take a day trip north to the ´Wine Route´ (Caldaro, Appiano ...) between Trento and Bolzano.
The Dolomites would be another option if you want to see some wonderful mountain scenery.
As you can see, you´re spoilt for choice![Imported](https://www.fodors.com/community/images/smilies/imported/smiley.gif)
Hope this helps ...
