Venice on Sunday,Monday closings?

My family of three will be arriving in Venice on Early Sunday morning in June. We only have two days in the city (Leaving Tuesday morning), and I was wondering will we find most things closed on Sunday. I had planned Sunday for seeing sites, and a museum, Monday for shopping. Any pitfalls to be aware of? Also are fine restaurants closed on Sundays/Mondays? Any itinerary advice would be greatly appreciated.

Darlene,

I too will arrive on a Sunday. All the restaurants I am interested in are open either Sunday or Monday with the exception of Da Fiore. All the top attractions, again that I'm interested in, are also open on Sunday and Monday. If you have specifics in mind, please tell us and I'm sure you'll get the info.

Forgot one thing. The Rialto markets do not operate on Sunday or Monday.

We were in Venice a week ago last Monday and the Rialto produce market was operating.

MK, I'm happy to hear that. My guide book said it didn't.
