Venice, Italy

I am looking for a good hotel in Venice. We will be travelling beginning of March. Any suggestions? A canal view preferred.Willing to pay 160 euros

You can check the rates at Pensione Accademia..we spent about that for a January trip a few years back..you could request a canal (not the Grand Canal) view..

Take a look at the Pensione La Calcina on the Guideca Canal. Quite a lovely spot.

You are unlikely to get the Calcina for your price given the sorry state of the dollar. But you might get a decent apartment within your budget. We stayed at this apartment a few months ago and liked it for its location and amenities.

Locanda San Barnaba is in a super location in Dorsoduro. It looks like a lovely place, although we only peeked in and did not stay there...it is in your price range for March..

www.lacalcina.com but you won't get a canal room for that price, rather a side facing one.

Take a look at the Hotel Marconi. I think it is in your pricerange and it overlooks the Rialto Bridge.
